Thanks to a partnership with Toro Steel — and years of contributions to the David Donoho Fund — we’re preparing to add 120 × 56 feet of new covered space to our facility. This nearly doubles our working area and gives our volunteers the room they need to bring even more history back to life.  

And the timing couldn’t be better. With over 70,000 passengers welcomed since 2022, the demand for year-round excursions, restored passenger cars, and living-history experiences has never been higher. Soon, New York Central steam locomotive No. 3001 and the very passenger cars it once pulled will be restored under one roof — a once-in-a-generation moment for railroad preservation.
